HA (hyaluronic acid) is a natural substance the body produces to help provide moisture, volume, and structure to your skin. HA is responsible for the supple, youthful look of skin. As time takes its toll, the body creates less and less HA. This is why the majority of facial fillers are based on HA--the gel of the fillers provide the moisture and plumping that the body normally would on its own.
The fillers in the RHA Collection are a major advancement in this approach to anti-aging. Each filler is based on a formula that is especially designed to closely mimic the body’s natural HA at the molecular level. The molecular strands are longer and more complex because the RHA Collection is made with a gentle manufacturing process that helps preserve the natural structure of the hyaluronic acid. These fillers provide the longest-lasting results of any dermal filler on the market. They can last for up to 1.5 years. This is a big step forward for fillers, which usually tend to last about six months or so.
The first step is treatment is a consultation at Medical Spa & Laser Center with Dr. Ridha. He will examine your skin and discuss your concerns and goals for your treatment, including whether you want to plump your lips, add volume to your cheeks, sculpt your face, target wrinkles on the face and hands, or more. From there, he will help you decide on the right filler for you from the RHA Collection.
During treatment, an ultra-fine needle or blunt-tipped cannula is used. The targeted areas are expertly and precisely injected with the filler of choice. The treatment is short, taking about 20 minutes, and is relatively painless. Patients describe a minor stinging sensation.
Once the treatment is complete, you can resume your usual activities. There is no downtime or recovery period needed. You will be providing a cooling agent to apply to the treated areas just after the procedure, and you may experience limited potential swelling and bruising.
