If you’ve ever feared overcorrection or the frozen facial expressions that can come from traditional Botox treatments, and yet have longed for its many benefits, Microtox is your answer. This noninvasive refresh puts the finishing touches on your face, accentuating its natural beauty.
Microtox is a precise artistic approach to rejuvenation and skin tightening of the face. The Microtox technique lifts and firms up the skin while decreasing pore size, reducing skin laxity and skin redness, and clearing up fine lines, wrinkles, creases and crow’s feet in the process.
The non-invasive treatment combines the skin tightening benefits of Botox with a unique pattern of injection and minute doses of Botox or other similar products. Instead of injecting the product—whether Botox or Dysport—into the muscle itself, Microtox injections are done just beneath the surface of the skin.
Our Microtox facials are tailored to your unique needs, whether that means the simple signs of aging, a lackluster complexion, or dynamic wrinkles and lines. To treat these problems, our aesthetic experts will chose from one or more of the following:
The ideal candidate for Microtox is someone who considers they have a generally lackluster appearance that should be revitalized and refreshed, as well as those with fine lines and wrinkles on the face, and other common mild signs of aging. As the name implies, think of “micro” corrections of the finer imperfections across the face and neck.
The results of Microtox typically last 3-4 months or longer, depending on how fast your body metabolizes the filler and/or neuromodulators used. Maintenance treatments are recommended thereafter as needed for a quick and noticeable refresh.
There is no downtime associated with Microtox, however patients do typically experience mild redness and swelling for a few hours after the procedure. Mild blood spotting is also very rare, but may occur in some cases. Patients are not required to rest or recover after treatment, and can resume their social and professional activities immediately, barring certain strenuous activities for a few hours.
Microtox can potentially improve crepey skin under the eyes by relaxing the muscles and reducing fine lines, but it should only be administered by a trained professional.
When administered by a trained and licensed professional, Microtox is generally safe, but like any medical procedure, it carries some potential risks and side effects.
Microtox and Botox are similar in that they both contain botulinum toxin, but Microtox is a more diluted version that is typically used for smaller areas or for more subtle changes.
The frequency of Microtox injections varies depending on the individual, but most people can safely get injections every 3-4 months.
